Final and Smart

So tumblr… I haven’t written a blog in a long time (partly because I can’t find the time…) but there’s been a lot on my mind lately. These passed 2 months have been… absolutely crazy. It’s been overwhelming and pretty stressful but… amazing and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

First off, I felt like I had to mature quickly because of the position I got thrusted in. After graduating college, I felt like I was going to plateau at some level and was rather unsure of where I wanted to go myself… aka losing hope? Sometimes you feel like you worked so hard to get to a stable position to find purpose when all of a sudden, you lose it. Lightweight dramatic, but I felt somewhat useless after graduating. As blunt as I can put it, you either have opportunity or not. I didn’t give up though… after the multitude of applications and always pursuing my interests, I received a job. After being with my current “grown up” job for almost two months, I can safely (or sadly) say I’ve found myself becoming more independent. It’s a bittersweet feeling but, inevitable. Unexpected but, again, very thankful for the opportunity.

I’m currently still at a crossroads with my emotions but, learning to take every experience for what it is. When Ivie sent me to Texas, I got offered my dream job with my dream company… but turned it down. I still think whether or not I should’ve taken that opportunity, but I wanted to see what was in store with what I had to work with, although I was skeptical. I also hate making drastic decisions and need a lot of time to think things through to end up in the same starting and conflicted position. I think I need to try to leave the past behind and move forward… this probably applies to a lot of things in my life. 

We’ll see where life takes me. But one thing remains: I’m always thankful for the family and friends that love and support me.

Thankful

I recently scored an amazing job earlier this week! I’m officially a Marketing Account Coordinator. Anyway, my first day was today and I have to say… I was pretty intimidated. I know I shouldn’t let myself feel that way, but I happened to be the youngest person in the office among a sea of middle-aged workers. Not only that, but the workload was intense! I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. It surprises me because, everyone in my office was extremely welcoming and nice. I’m looking forward to this job and am going to try to put my best effort in it.

About the post, I can only be thankful for this opportunity! (Thank you God!) Hopefully everything goes well :D.
